I'm conflicted as to how many stars to give this book. In some ways it was a page turner, in that the plot (ridiculous as it was) had some interesting twists. But the writing was awful. You know the maxim "show, not tell"? Well, I felt through the whole book that the author was telling us about the characters, not letting the reader get into their heads. There were huge gaps in the timeline of the story, which were then filled in by various unsatisfying narrative tricks. The story skirts around the fact that the "hero" is actually an obsessive stalker. I guess the fact that **** spoiler **** he makes over his subsequent girlfriends to look exactly like his lost love (down to making them wear colored contacts) ********** is supposed to show how much he loves her, but it's creepy and obsessive -- and the heroine is supposed to be the one with psychiatric issues? Her only psychiatric issue, as far as I can tell, is that she actually loves this guy!Product details

Crazy For You A Controversial Romance eBook Sandra Edwards Reviews
I should have stopped reading it right at the beginning, but for some reason followed on through. It is written in a very elementary style, almost adolescent. Although, the topics are definitely adult! The writing is horrible, the story is intriguing, but gets pretty boring and predictable. I wish I hadn't wasted the time to read it, but for some reason didn't quit, which is why I gave it two stars instead of one.
Once I started this book I couldn't put it down. You could feel the love pouring from Roxie and Frank. However, they both let their pride and fears rule them. If I could give 10 stars for this book I would. Love the characters love the author look forward to reading more books by her.
I read romance/chick lit from time to time as pure escapism. One of the reasons is because they are so light (and alike) that when the book is over, I don't feel bad because I was never engaged in the characters or story, and remembering their names isn't important - change them and a few minor details and it's the last book, or the next one. I thought I was getting that when I bought this book.
Crazy for you was NOT like that at all. I admit, it took me a long time to get into the book because unlike the `others', there is not much conversation, but rather, in depth, involved passages of feelings and mood setting. This is a heavy book of the 80's, rock and roll, the drug culture, amnesia, emotional abuse, and deeply flawed human beings. Although I can't say I liked any of the characters, or rooted for their relationships, it was like watching a train wreck in super slow motion, pulling me in with every page. After a certain point, I had to find out what was going to happen. (Like other readers, I found the timeline of five years for all that a little unrealistic, but for me, it didn't detract from the story.) Many kudos to Ms Edwards for a frank look at reality that is less than pretty. It was a gritty and dirty novel, and well worth the read.
Loved this story. I laughed and cried throughout. The characters were all so developed and I was hooked from the first chapter to the last. Sandra Edwards writing was surprisingly unexpected. I liked the fact that I loved Frank one minute and hated him the next. Looking forward to more stories from the writer.
The beginning captivated me. Enjoyed the prologue, and looked forward to the rest of the book. I liked how the author set it up into 4 parts.
Enjoyed part 1 & 4, but throughout the middle of the book I kept asking myself why I was still reading this book. I did enjoy how everything
was handled in the end, but this book truly rambled on and on and on...If you have the time, and don't have any other books at hand, give it a try
but be prepared to do some power reading!
SLIGHT SPOILER WARNING I read a lot of romance novels, but I couldn't bring myself to finish this one. The female characters are supposed to be strong and independent, but instead they're both weak minded followers who need a man to not only be whole, but to help them with making any sort of rational decision...the main char especially. She is literally too stupid to realize that her boyfriend might not be proud of her for becoming a prostitute when she knows he is a very jealous man. Don't even get me started on the neanderthal leading man. He was nothing but irritating from the start. I wouldn't recommend this book to anyone who actually respects women OR men. Both genders were represented especially poorly, in my opinion. At least the moronic main characters sort of deserve each other. The secondary couple, who live literally by leeching off the main chars' success are just sort of depressing and pitiful... Overall not a very enjoyable read. I gave up 3/4 of the way through.
Is it me or didn't this happen?
Yeah, and they made a movie about it too, it was called the Vow, great movie. This book, this very loooong and sometimes boring book, is very reminiscent of The Vow with Channing Tatum and Rachel McAdams. This book isn't bad, but it's nothing extraordinary and the HEA or rather HFN was so long in coming that i was disappointed. I could tell that it was very well written and edited and for that I have to say hooray, because so few ebooks ARE these days. So four stars because it may not be my cup of tea, and it's way too similar to The Vow for me, but I've gotta give credit where credit is due.
