Would you agree to be someone's mistress if he promised to pay your student loans?

Rose Collins is a recent art school graduate with overwhelming student loan debt and no way to pay it.

Jae Rothko is a wealthy and renowned artist who doesn't have the time or patience for a real relationship.

Jae joins The Club so he can have one woman when he wants and how he wants with no attachments and no expectations.

Falling in love is never part of the deal.

Until Jae meets Rose.

BLACK DOG NIGHTS was originally published as a serial novel in three parts. This NEW EDITION is the COMPLETE FULL-LENGTH novel with no cliff-hanger and an HEA.

Each novel in the spicy, hot CLUB series can be read as a stand-alone or as part of the series.

Black Dog Nights The Club Book 1 eBook Ren Monterrey Karen M Bryson

Before I bought these books, Black Dog I,II and III, I read the reviews. They were all positive. I am reading book 1 now, and it did keep me interested in what happens next; before I knew the book ended. Though it kept my attention, I had an aversion to what is happening. Why does Rosie stay in this scenario with Jae. The pay is good but the emotional destruction is not. I have not decided if I really like what I am reading or not. I will go forward and read book 2 to help me decide. The subject matter I do not like but the story does keep you reading more.

Black Dog Nights The Club Book 1 eBook Ren Monterrey Karen M Bryson Reviews

This is a rather interesting premise... The characters don't actually meet until later in the book. However, the build up to that point was key. It gave a bit of background info on the h. It also made the book's theme plausible to our eyes, and not far-fetched as most of the books with a similar plot go.
How do I know it was good? I'm off to hit my 1-click button for Book 2 haha
This is exciting reading! From the slow start, like a runner getting ready to sprint, to an "I can't wait to read more" ending, Ren Monterrey writes an engrossing story of the decisions we make when pressed to our limit. A change encounter leads our heroine to an "too good to be true" offer. The payment on that offer has us re deciding what money and love actually means to us. I'm anxious to read the next installment...
I could not put this book down. I really enjoy something different, a little strange. This delivered on all accounts. This is not a sweet, cute romance story. Okay, yes it does have a HEA without a cliffhanger.

Some might not like Jea. But, I challenge you to read to the end and not fall for him at least a little.
Rose is an art college graduate and $50k in loan debt. She has got her resume out everywhere, but can't find a job in her field. She's barely making ends meet working in a coffee shop and needs money fast before her loans go into repayment. She meets December and she informs Rose about The Club. Rose being a 21 year old virgin didn't envision this would be the way she'd loose her virginity, by getting paid for it. She meets Jae and things get heated up from there!
Awesome three part series!
Rose is a naive woman.
Jae is a successful artist.
The chemistry is not there.
The story turns out to be good but starts a bit rough.
I don't like that this book advocates young women being prostitutes.
There is a really good opportunity for Jae to be a really deep and interesting character. I think this opportunity is missed. I want to know more about him.
Rose, is naivete at its best. Wow. I'm really surprised nothing bad happens to her. Her guardian angel must be working overtime.
I really enjoyed reading Black Dog Nights Part One (The Club Book 1), all about Rose Collins a art graduate & Jae Rothkoe aka Black Dog who she has an exclusive arrangement with. The author wrote a very interesting story that spans three books and the characters make the story come to life. Read this series it will make you laugh, sigh, shake your head and cum up a storm! It's about two very different people who enter into an arrangement that is beneficial to both parties. I hope you take a chance on this series, because it won't disappoint you. Enjoy reading part one, because I did and subsequently read all three.
the book is in three approximately 70 page parts and it was wonderful. The first part has us question ourselves with the dilemma of what will we give up to get our heads above water? What are we willing to give up without losing who we are?

Rose is in this spot. trying to get a job in the art world but drowning in loan debt. To deal with this Rose joins the club and meets Jae. Jae is a nice guy but rough around the edges. He plays for long terms even with Rose. Jae is socially inept, doesn't grasp peoples emotions well, how to express his own well and how to say what he thinks without having it seem something else. The two begin to feel for one another but their situation of how they came together is a elephant in the room and do they want to admit how they feel.

a fun read that will have you excited to read the next part.
